Our Projects

Hope Home and Sponsorship

The Peace for Paul Foundation provides a loving home atmosphere for children who would otherwise be spending their days hungry and afraid.

These children are attending school and working hard towarda  bright future, one very different from their past. Our system is ideal because it is family style-a small number of children living in one house, just like a real family.

These children are given the necessary tools to grow and to become functioning citizens of their community in order to break the cycle of poverty that they were born into. We are working with one child at a time and firmly believe that we CAN change the world-one life at a time.

“There can be no keener revelation of a society’s soul than the way in which it treats it’s children”. -Nelson Mandela

 University Scholarship Fund

The Peace for Paul Foundation University Scholarship will be available to children that excel in school and wish to continue their education.

The scholarship will cover the cost of tuition and books and will allow the children to continue to live with us through the completion of their studies and entry into the workforce.

Adult Education

Peace for Paul recognizes the importance of education. Although our primary focus is on the children , we realize that educating their surviving parents can have tremendous benefits for both the adults and the children alike.

We wish to empower the Karamojong using programs that teach the English language, basic personal hygiene, give information on available contraception and HIV/AIDS, and teach parenting and trade skills.

Although these may seem like simple concepts, this knowledge has the potential to improve the lives of the Karamojong people, giving them a sense of their own value, that they can in turn pass on to their children.

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” -Nelson Mandela

Sustainability

The Peace for Paul Foundation has purchased three acres of land near the Nile River and will undertake a project here geared toward sustainability of the organization and of the local community. More to come…
