Natule’s Story:

As told by her older brother, Kurre John Bosco, and Ellie Coleman

I was born in Moroto, Uganda.  I lived there with my family which consisted of my mother and father, my five brothers, and I.  In Moroto we were suffering from drought, hunger, and the war. We lived there until my father was shot and killed by rebels. My mother took us and we left Moroto for Jinja. When we got to Jinja we didn’t have food or shelter so we wandered on the streets seeking food, help, and shelter. To get money my brothers collected maize (corn) and firewood but I remained at home, alone in the slums of Masese.
