Juma’s story
Juma’s mother passed away and shortly after, his father disappeared leaving Juma to fend for himself in the slums of Masese. He was sleeping on people’s porches just trying to survive until a kind woman took pity on him and allowed him to live within her own slum house. This woman has done the best she can for as many orphans as she can, but they are still living without any basic necessities and are forced to rummage through trash-cans for food and beg on the streets of Jinja to survive. Juma has had to live without any of the basic necessities and before joining the PFP family, never knew when his next meal would come. Now that he is a part of the Peace for Paul family, Juma has the chance to attend school and to live a life full of hope for the future.
