Friday’s Story:

I was born in Busia, Uganda. My father died in 2004 while he was cattle raiding, the owners of the cattle shot him from there. After my father’s death my mother ran away from Moroto and sent a letter to my aunt telling her that she needed help with her children. My aunt took me and my sisters in, we lived with her in Masese. My mother is still alive but she is in bad condition in Moroto.

When I first came to Masese I would move with my uncle to go and cut brooms from the bush, but after some time I decided to go to Jinja town and beg instead. Heidi found me while I was living on the streets, and soon after I became a member of the Peace for Paul family.
