Chegem’s Story:

Chegem’s father died in November of 2010 and her mother had been struggling to provide the necessities for Chegem ever since. They lived in the slum area of Masese, and before joining PFP, Chegem regularly had to go without food, clean drinking water, or any of the basic necessities. During the day, Chegem’s mother would travel to town to beg for food or money, leaving Chegem to fend for herself in the slums.

Her mother has this message for Chegem’s sponsor and for all supporters of the Peace for Paul Foundation: “I am very happy for the opportunity that is being given to my daughter to go to school and to have a wonderful future. Lots of thanks to the PFP program and may God bless you now and always”.
