Angella’s Story:
Angella was found suffering all alone in Moroto, Northern Uganda. His father (Lochuch John), was killed many years ago in the war with the Lords Resistance Army and his mother (Otyang Sarah) died in childbirth. As a baby, Angella lived with his grandmother, but life was never easy. His grandmother was not able to support him in all that he needed, but together they did their best. Unfortunately, she was a very old woman and when he was just a few years old Angella’s grandmother passed away, again leaving him all alone. Although Angella has a sister, she was married away and he has not seen her in years; he has no idea where she now is.
The clan members in his village tried to help Angella by giving him work caring for other people’s goats and sheep, and digging in the fields to earn some food to eat. People in the village used Angella to fetch water from many miles away, and Angella says the terrible sunshine and strong winds threw him down as he walked.
Angella is now safe at home with the Peace for Paul Foundation and thanks to his sponsors, will never have to struggle to survive again. Angella says: “I cannot believe what God has done for me. I am enjoying this new home so much, thank you…”
