Agnes’ Story:

Agnes’ father died in the war in Moroto. Her mother has tried to care for her two little girls, but without any education or training has been unable to get a job. Before joining PFP, her mother would leave Agnes in the slums of Masese to care for her younger sister Apurio while she spent the day begging on the streets of Jinja. Agnes has ever been to school and has been used by her mother to beg for money as well. When Agnes lived in the slums with her mother, there was never enough food or any of the basic necessities and she always gone without. Now, thanks to her sponsor, both Agnes and her sister Apurio  will finally have a life that up until now they could only dream about.
